children and kids' stuff! (12 and under)
Saturday, January 18th, 2025 9am-5pm
The Lodge at Mountain Lake Park 46 Bowen Rd, Warwick, NY 10990
What to know
This new Too Good To Toss mini is designed for your convenience! Donations and "shopping" will happen on the same day like a more traditional swap event. Donations will be accepted between 9am and 2pm only, we will be open for shopping until 5pm. This is an indoor event.
As the event name suggests, we will only be accepting/ swapping items for children and babies (roughly 12 and under). We understand that, by nature, kids stuff tends to be a little more "well-loved", still we insist that donations will only be accepted that are clean, in good working order and include all their parts. If a game is missing a piece or a doll is missing a shoe, we kindly ask that you find a different avenue for rehoming your goods.
We WILL accept items that strictly fall into one of these categories:
Baby toys, bikes, balance bikes, bedding and blankets, bouncers, carriers, clothing and shoes, books (up to 12, no reference books, no YA), costumes, diapers (unopened), dress-up clothes, dolls, games high chairs, pretend play items, scooters, strollers, stuffed animals, toddler toys, and walkers.
We WILL NOT accept
Bassinets, pack & Play, play yards, bloth diapers (unless in original unopened packaging/ unused with tags), cribs, feeding/ dinnerware (play kitchen accessories OK), furniture of any kind (play kitchen, doll houses OK), media players, recalled items, safety equipment (helmets, car seats, life vests), sports equipment, toothbrushes or teethers (unless in original unopened packaging), wipes, toiletres or personal care items (aside from diapers), underwear (unless in original unopened packaging) or video games.
Volunteer opportunities coming soon, email [email protected] to let us know you're interested!

FAQ- TOO GOOD TO TOSS (MAIN EVENT)
Stanley Deming Park, Warwick, NY.
2025 dates TBD
How can I donate my stuff?
For the main TGTT event, we accept donations on Saturday only from 10am-4pm. Before packing up your car, be sure to check the list of items we cannot accept (below). All donations must be clean, in good working order, and must have all of their parts. All items are accepted through our donation station and you will be asked to take away anything we cannot accept.
My stuff is heavy, can you help?
As long as you get get it to our location, we have volunteers to help you unload!
How much does it cost to get in?
This event is free to all! We accept cash donations at the door (or you can donate here) to help cover our expenses.
How do I get the free stuff?
Sunday from 10am-4pm the goods are ready for the taking. We encourage attendees to take as much as they can carry, really and advise you bring a cart, piece of luggage, or bag to shop into. For everyone's safety, we do not allow collecting of piles of items, If you do not abide by this rule we may ask you to leave.
What if I want a LOT of stuff? Like... more than I can carry?
We get it, theres so much good stuff at Too Good To Toss. Thanks for helping us keep perfectly good stuff out of a landfill! We have parking spots at the exit reserved for loading the goods into your vehicle. Designated volunteers will help you carry out the big stuff and load it up! Once you leave you do have to get back in line, but we move through the line quickly!
I heard the line gets pretty crazy...
It's true, we have had shoppers lined up as early as 5:30am, but here's a tip: when the doors open at 10am we let in 150 people at once and then monitor the traffic from there. Within 2 hours roughly 600 people have come through the event and yet good stuff remains through the end. Don't not come because there is a line, thats silly, its free stuff!
What kind of things are available?
We organize everything into departments which includes: Clothing (Men, Women, Kids), Fashion Accessories, Home Decor, Kids toys + Books, Arts + Crafts, Garage + Garden, Home Textiles, Kitchen + Bath, Office, Art, Rugs, Furniture, Sports + Outdoor, Holiday/Seasonal.You can see the list of unacceptable items for things that you won't find at TGTT below.
Where can I park?
We have been able to organize parking on the grass at Stanley Deming Park, right next to our event on the basketball courts. We'll have folks directing traffic so just get into the area and you'll find your way. That parking, however, this can be weather-dependent. If it has been a soggy few weeks leading up to the event, you can expect to park at the Park Ave Elementary Parking lot (walking distance) or in another legal parking spot. Parking spots in front of the basketball court are reserved for loading and unloading only with the exception of handicap parking.
This is amazing, I like it, how can I be more involved?
Right?! This event is only possible because we have incredible volunteers, 99% of whom volunteer during the weekend only. If you would like to join the planning committee please let us know. You should know that volunteers get first pick of the goods ( limited to 2 items per hour volunteered, most shifts are 3 hours). Check this page again for volunteer opportunities or email Payton Swenson at [email protected]. (You can also donate here)
What does Too Good To Toss Support?
Itself! Our one true aim is to share the joy, practicality, and sustainability of re-use (financial and environmental).
